Who We Are
Our Story
Uncommon Grounds Coffee House and Cafe is a non-profit 501c3, and is an extension of The Purple Lemon, Inc.
Our faith-based program provides transitional housing, employment, financial and life skills training, as well as one on one counseling to our ladies who complete a one-year in-house treatment program with Adult and Teen Challenge.
Our ladies are employed by Uncommon Grounds and receive above market wages. Once they complete one-year of our program and save $1,000.00 they will receive $3,000.00 in scholarship funds to purchase a vehicle or build funds for transitioning out of the program.
The scholarship is funded through financial donations, as well as book sales in our cafe. We believe each lady is unique; each with a special calling on her life. We strive to create an environment that nurtures exploration and discovery of her identity through Jesus Christ.
